Last year flew by.... That's what happens when you start painting or delving into an activity you enjoy. I would encourage you to follow your heart and dab and play with whatever makes you happy. Whether it is drawing, baking, making candles, writing or building...there are so many ways for us to express our innate creativity that is nourishing to our souls done without judgment or expectations.
I wish you that joy and fulfillment in 2016....

The end of 2015 brought some nice art surprises and I am honored to have been:

Featured in Artsy Shark Publication November article "Step Into my Studio". Click here to see the article and glimpse of where I work.
The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg Rockingham chose the watercolor painting "Holiday Sparkle" for their annual 2015 holiday greeting card.
A holiday Open Studio. It was an informal affair at my studio and garden. We were blessed with mild November weather in Virginia but most of all was the love and support I felt from all who came out in person and in spirit. It was a great day of sharing and fun. As always I am thankful for you... my friends, family, patrons and collectors.

Phyllis Northup, nature artist and friend has invited me to hang as her guest at the "2016 Members and Friends Show" at The Middle Street Gallery, Sperryville, VA. January 9th to February 14th. The gallery is located in the scenic and quaint town of Sperryville, Virginia. Beautiful gallery space and many talented artists. Hope you can stop in. More info here

Nadia your new piece is a reflection of a renewed art spirit. The brushstrokes and colors reflect your joy of painting. I'm moved by this and have jumped on the bandwagon. Taking a week long workshop this month here to rekindle my own art spirit. Thanks for the motivation. Have another great year of art making and thanks for sharing.

Thanks Sharon. I hope to paint more flowers in jars. The flowers were from my neighbor's yard.
