Offered this weekend by Auction at the Arts Council of the Valley 6th annual Progressive Party

Hello friends! I hope your summer has been  of good times with friends and family.

It's back to the easel for me!
I've been playing around a lot this summer.  Allen and I drove out west, visited friends and family, enjoyed warm beaches, planted
flowers and vegetables, canned....goodness, no wonder I haven't been painting as much.  Time to get back in the flow; dusting my studio, preparing canvases, paint and photographing subject matter.  Like getting back into an exercise routine, you know you'll feel great after, but sort of dread it.

Featured  this month are two latest paintings.  "Lady in Red" above which will be offered by auction this Saturday, October 7, 2017,  at

one of the area's premier wineries  The Columns at Six Penny Farm
It's not too late to participate in this fun event!

Hello friends!  In Virginia, we've been spending a lot of time inside with the humid hot summer days upon us.  Not to rush our lives but thought I'd introduce a painting suggesting a taste of what's to come....the cool crisp days of autumn.

Thick and rich brush strokes depict the clear blue skies reflected in the calm waters of a scene from low country USA.     I hope you enjoy it!

Let me know if you have any questions about any of my paintings and remember, free shipping on all orders unless otherwise noted.

"Forgiveness is the smell that lavender gives out when you tread on it".

While purple is the color of royalty, and pink the color of youth, lavender is femininity all grown up. It represents refinement, grace, and elegance. Lavender holds a sacred place in nature, and with its violet flowers is often considered the most delicate and precious.

The fragrance of the rose, remains on the hand that gives it. -                                                                                                                Unknown

I took a risk cutting my long stemmed valentine roses.  Whew,
I was relieved it worked out and liked it so much in this vase,
I painted it.  The rich bordeaux red with the touch of light has this elusive feel of burnished gold roses.

View the exhibit March & April, Weekdays 8:30am to 4:30pm

Already, the daffodils are in bloom at Edith Carrier J Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and I am honored to have been invited to exhibit some of my original flower paintings to bring in Spring 2017.

If you  haven't been there, come on over and stroll on the charming walking  trail through the colorful, manicured gardens.  Relax, have a picnic or just smell the flowers.  This little paradise is a hop, skip, and a jump from Costco in Harrisonburg, VA.

"WILD & FREE"

Soon I will be introducing my Premiere Collection.  I've been keeping these pieces hidden and can't wait to share them with you!!!

Painting on a large scale has been amazingly fun.  True, a little hard on the body but seeing all that color pop and strokes magnified has been exhilarating.

Lots of color is injected in these one of a kind oil paintings which are flowers, of course,  and something else you have not seen me paint before......

As I launch my Premiere Collection November 1st,  I will send you an email as each new piece is unveiled.
